NIH Study for Homeopathy use for Pertussis Symptoms

Pertussis has been going around particularly in unvaccinated communities. The gold standard for prevention is vaccination and the gold standard for treatment is early antibiotics and preventative antibiotics for family members of infected kids.

But what can you do to calm a pertussis cough? The NIH funded a study for homeopathics to treat pertussis symptoms. They tested two remedies: Pertussinum and Drosera.

Pertussinum is actually 'isopathy' (same cures same), which is using a diluted tincture of pertussis to treat pertussis infection.  Some people consider this a homeopathic 'vaccine' when taken before exposure to pertussis.  This is not FDA approved as a 'vaccine'.

Drosera is true homeopathy (like cures like). Diluted drosera can treat symptoms full strength drosera can cause. Since those symptoms are similar to pertussis, homeopathic drosera can calm pertussis cough symptoms.

The study used both homeopathics in differing dilutions at different frequency.  Feel free to use either or both for your pertussis symptoms whether or not you have been vaccinated, used antibiotics or did neither. Homeopathy is safe used in conjunction with other medications and medical interventions.
